About the role:

We are looking for a Retail Champion with strong analytical skills to work closely with our professional buying and planning team on a wide variety of tasks. Reporting into the Planning Manager this is a permanent full time role based in our Adelaide Support Office.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Analysing, reporting, forecasting and budgeting on different areas of the business
  • Making astute recommendations to influence decision making
  • Deliver key profit objectives through innovation, customer orientation, inventory management and analysis
  • Conducting category review analysis and, in conjunction with the buying team, review product mix and pricing in stores to set appropriate core ranges to achieve department KPI's.
  • Assisting with planning and management of catalogues and providing sell-through analysis and insight on performance.
  • Forecast stock requirements to maximise revenue, margin and stock turn performance
  • Allocating new, catalogue and promotional stock to stores
  • Analysing stock holding, purchases and supplier deals in order to place appropriate orders with suppliers and provide the business with analysis to maximise supplier performance
  • Working closely with stores, Buying and Planning team to provide phone and email advice and support on a range of buying and planning queries.

About You:

As an experienced Planner, you will have a solid knowledge base with plenty of experience to back it up, an inquisitive and commercial mind and enjoy knowledge sharing. Working collaboratively is your preferred style being able to liaise and communicate across all working relationships to keep people informed of activities, deadlines and progress.

 

To be successful for this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills, along with experience applying these skills with large amounts of data.
  • Understanding of merchandise planning, buying and inventory management
  • 3+ years previous experience in a similar role
  • Commercial awareness, making decisions based on all factors that will best benefit the business
  • Knowledge of the pharmacy industry is highly desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong numerical skills
  • Detail orientated but can work quickly and efficiently
  • Good problem solving skills and a good communicator
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability and willingness to adapt to and embrace change
