About the role:

Great opportunity for a motivated and energetic Buyer to really make this position their own.


Will suit someone with extensive retail merchandise experience and strong ability to juggle priorities and thrive under the pressure of meeting strict deadlines.


This is a hands-on, full-time role, in our Adelaide-based National Office and will suit an individual who has experience working with multi-site category management and possesses strong negotiation skills.


Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, selecting and purchasing merchandise within your designated categories
  • Work with the planning team to ensure the product mix and ranging achieves the department's KPI's
  • Developing planograms
  • Work closely with the planning and marketing teams to ensure ranging and supply supports and informs marketing initiatives.
  • Developing a great relationship with your suppliers and negotiating trading terms
  • Database maintenance and updates
  • Analyse stock holding and place orders with suppliers
  • Maintaining awareness of the market, competitors, current & emerging trends

About You:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience developing and maintaining planograms, liaising professionally with suppliers and completing the general administrative duties required for the success of buying activities.  This role would appeal to up and coming buyer or an experienced buying assistant ready to take the next step in their career.


The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a buying role or extensive experience as a buying assistant
  • A passion for and interest in beauty, skin care, cosmetics and fashion products
  • Knowledge of the pharmacy industry is highly desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to analyse sales data and apply sound judgment when making buying decisions
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability and willingness to adapt to and embrace change
